Our full time staff designs custom homes to make your dreams come true (we very rarely build any two alike!!). Most builders have a select few house plans that have been duplicated over and over through the years. These designs are already outdated and functionally obsolete before you even begin construction! They certainly will not offer their owners an enviable position in a highly competitive resale market.

BD&A's designs incorporate many traditional features, yet carry forward into the future with fresh new ideas and materials. Therefore, if and when you wish to enter the resale market, you will do so with a home that is current and highly marketable.

For example, all of our homes offer a large, light and airy feeling. Most builders limit their focus to the square footage of a home... BD&A designs focus on square footage but also on a feature of your home that most builders don't even take into consideration... cubic footage. If you notice, our homes offer cathedral ceilings as well as expanded ceiling height throughout. Instead of the standard 8' ceilings, we start with a 10' plate height and go upward. Our ceilings and volume orientation make a small home large and a large home opulent!

And if you're building a home intended for rental-investment purposes, our designers are highly sensitive to what makes a marketable rental property. Having built more than 1,400 homes, we will design your home to maximize rental income. Even if you will never rent, 95% of those who purchase an existing home do so for rental purposes. Therefore, we are sensitive to the resale market with regard to rental potential for your home.
